Problems in Hospital Linen Management

At present, hospitals still mainly rely on manual operations for the management of linens such as bed sheets, quilt covers, and patient gowns. Effective management methods are lacking in links like warehousing, laundering, and distribution, with heavy dependence on manual intervention and handwritten records. This gives rise to the following problems:

1、Difficulties in process traceability: It is impossible to effectively monitor whether linens have gone through standardized laundering processes; there is a lack of full-lifecycle management methods.

2、Persistently high loss rate:

   · Handover link: Linen loss occurs due to missing records;

   · Laundering link: It is impossible to count the number of laundering cycles, making it difficult to assess service life.

3、Efficiency issues and nosocomial infection risks: Manual counting consumes a large amount of human resources; the handover process fails to meet nosocomial infection control requirements, posing infection risks.

These problems reflect the deficiencies of the current hospital management model in terms of informatization, standardization, and traceability, and there is an urgent need to introduce intelligent management solutions.
