Shenzhen Pingle Bone Injury Hospital was established in 1986. After nearly 40 years of development, it has become a third-class A traditional Chinese medicine bone injury specialist hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, rehabilitation and first aid.
The hospital has three hospital districts, including the general hospital district, Hongling hospital district, Kengzi hospital district, Pingshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hall, a preparation center and a number of social health centers. In 2017, it was approved to become a traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Pingshan District. In 2021, it was approved as a Shenzhen bone injury hospital and a Shenzhen traditional Chinese medicine bone injury quality control center. In 2022, it was approved to establish Shenzhen Pingle Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Group. All hospitals and districts, Pingshan Traditional Chinese Medical Center and Social Health Center implement homogeneous management to provide efficient and high-quality medical services for the masses, forming a new pattern of collective development of "three hospitals and one place".
The hospital is a non-directly affiliated hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a number of teaching hospitals such as Southern Medical University, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, etc., a clinical teaching base of Guangdong General Higher Medical School, a standardized training cooperative unit for traditional Chinese medicine residents in Guangdong Province, and a joint postgraduate training of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Nursing base, Guangdong orthopedic specialist nurse training base, Shenzhen traditional Chinese medicine specialist nurse and nursing technology training base.
The main characteristic technology of the hospital, "Pingle Guo's orthopedic method", is one of the four major schools of bone injury in traditional Chinese medicine in China, which originated in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. In June 2008, "Pingle Guo's orthopedic method" was included in the list of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage extension projects, and the hospital became a provincial inheritance base.
